Metal AM systems on the verge of becoming serial production machines

There are several hundred different metal AM systems available at the moment. Many suppliers provide multiple machine sizes to cater to the needs of different industries and applications. In LB-PBF, the most mature AM system market, a strong differentiation between multi-purpose R&D, high productivity production and specialized manufacturing systems can be observed. In general, the development of AM systems is moving towards serial production machines with high reliability and increasing amount of automation.
